#1 Denis Suarez (FC Barcelona)

Denis Suarez is a Spanish midfielder who plays for FC Barcelona currently. Having once donned the Manchester City jersey, the Spaniard is well versed with the physicality the Premier League has to offer.

Playing for no less than three clubs since leaving City, Suarez has found it hard to translate his enormous talent into performances.

During his Villareal stint, many felt that he had turned a corner. Yet, his return to Barcelona has thrust him into the wilderness again.

In the 2018-19 season, the Spaniard has amassed a grand total of 100 minutes on the pitch. With Valverde’s refusal to accord him an opportunity, the appeal of moving to North London to work with Emery would surely appeal to the 24-year-old.

The pair has worked in the past while Emery was in charge of Sevilla. Suarez enjoyed a solid season then and is still valued highly by his compatriot.

The midfielder prides himself on transitioning quickly from defense to attack. Moreover, he isn’t shy of running at the defense and causing them problems with his dribbling. However, the most impressive trait of his could yet be his work-rate.

Arsenal have lacked pure work-horses in the middle of the park for years. With Torreria having arrived in the summer, the prospect of Torreira and Suarez together would represent one of the most energetic pairings in the league.

His attributes, coupled with Ramsey’s imminent departure, earmark Suarez as a potential transfer target.

Now all eyes turn to Emery and the Arsenal board to go all out and turn this possibility into reality.
