Ronaldo is possibly the greatest player to ever play in the Champions League. He is the most successful footballer in the tournament with five titles, and the top goalscorer with 120 goals.
But regardless of all his records, Ronaldo has never scored five goals in a game. It is worth mentioning that only two players have done it before – Lionel Messi against Bayer Leverkusen in 2012, and Luiz Adriano in the 2014 group stages against BATE Borisov.
In 2015, Ronaldo became the 12th player to score four goals in a Champions League match and in 2017 he became the first player to score back to back hat-tricks. With those, he caught up with Messi and now holds a shared record for the most trebles with seven.
