#2 Chelsea 5-4 Barcelona (2004-05)

Champions League - Chelsea v Barcelona
Champions League - Chelsea v Barcelona

This tie was one full of everything. Beautiful goals, unimaginable individual performances, improbable comebacks and dramatic emotions.

The first leg took place at the Camp Nou and Chelsea took the early lead, courtesy an own goal by Juliano Belletti. But Barcelona stormed back into the match, thanks to goals from Samuel Eto'o and Maxi Lopez.

All in all, it was a comfortable victory for Barcelona - and also an expected one.

The second leg of this tie though was one of the best matches ever. Chelsea were on fire at the start of the match as they scored three goals in the first 20 minutes. But then, it was all about the magic of Ronaldinho who pulled Barcelona back into the tie.

He scored two goals in quick succession, and the second of them was a piece of art. That little shimmy followed by the clinical strike was something out of this world, and is vividly remembered to this day.

Still, a brutal header by John Terry in the 76th minute settled the tie in Chelsea's favour. It was a tie to remember.
