Adam Lallana is another player who has been suffering on the Liverpool bench for quite some time now. The Englishman joined Liverpool in 2014 from Southampton for €31 million. He started well enough but could never replicate the expectations people had from his Southampton stint.
His inconsistency and the huge competition in the squad has reduced his role to benchwarmer. He has played just 699 minutes this season so far during which he has scored once and assisted twice.
Liverpool have a very consistent midfield of Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho and the arrival of Takumi Minamino means more competition to his place. With his contract running out this summer, he might choose to leave Anfield this month in search of more playing time.
