The Frenchman has not been in his best form for a few seasons now. However, Benzema has started off his new 2018-19 season with 4 goals to his name in 5 games, one less than the total number of goals he scored last season in LaLiga.
Madridistas have lacked respect for the Frenchman though, as he is pretty famous for missing sitters and bottling easy chances. He has not been up to the mark as a striker, but his ability to create plays and set up his teammates is still as good as ever.

With Hazard on the left flank, Karim Benzema will have plenty of chances to score. He played a decent role while playing alongside Ronaldo, setting him up for goals and playing as an unofficial false nine most of the time.
The addition of Hazard in the starting eleven will help Benzema to focus more on scoring than to play passes or set up his teammates. Eden Hazard is known for his trademark dribbles through the left wing and he has been of great influence for the Chelsea forwards.
