French tactician Zinedine Zidane revealed in a recent interview as reported by Fabrizio Romano that he will be back in the coaching world soon.

The 50-year-old football icon has been away from management since leaving his role as Real Madrid's head coach in 2021.

Zidane is regarded as one of the best managers in world football due to what he has achieved in his relatively short coaching career.

He has won a total of 11 silverware so far, which includes a record-breaking three back-to-back UEFA Champions League trophies between 2016-18.

Zidane is currently among a not-too-long list of high-profile football coaches who are unemployed. However, he isn't expected to be short of offers should he decide to end his sabbatical leave.

As such, this article will take a look at three suitable destinations for the former Real Madrid head coach.

#3 Liverpool

The Premier League giants could be a possible destination for Zidane, judging by how things have gone at the club this season.

Jurgen Klopp's team have had a difficult start to the ongoing 2022-23 football campaign. This has raised speculation about the future of the German tactician even though he is certainly a club legend.

The Reds have won just seven of their opening 15 games across all competitions, thus picking up 21 points out of a possible 45.

Liverpool have also been disappointing in the league this season and could be at risk of missing out on the top four going through their performances.

Klopp's team are currently eighth in the log standings with 16 points and have won just four out of their opening 11 games. The Reds are also 12 points behind league leaders Arsenal and five adrift of Newcastle United in fourth.

The Liverpool manager could be under serious pressure to turn things around at Anfield. Should he eventually get fired, Zidane could be a decent option to replace the German tactician.

#2 Juventus

The Italian giants could also be another European side in need of a new manager in the near future, going by their performances this season.

Massimiliano Allegri has come under serious fire following his team's poor start to the ongoing 2022-23 football campaign.

Juventus have so far won just six of their opening 15 games across all competitions and are currently eighth in the Serie A log standings. They have just 19 points and are 10 adrift of league leaders Napoli.

The Old Lady are also at risk of being eliminated from their UEFA Champions League group following a disappointing campaign. They are currently third in group H, five points adrift of Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica.

Should the Italian giants decide to cut ties with Allegri, they could opt to hire Zidane, who himself is a former Juventus player. He played for the Bianconeri between 1996-2001, winning two Serie A titles.

The Frenchman has already managed one of his former clubs in Real Madrid and could be tempted by the prospect of coaching Juventus.

#1 France

A spell with the French national team could also be a challenge that Zidane may decide to take up should the opportunity present itself.

Didier Deschamps has been at the helm of affairs with the national team since 2012 making him one of the country's longest-serving managers.

The French tactician has done well since taking over from Laurent Blanc. However, the French national team hasn't peaked since 2018 when they won the FIFA World Cup in Russia. They did win the UEFA Nations League in 2021 but their performances seem to have dipped in recent times.

Heading into the FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year, France are being earmarked as one of the favorites. A poor showing may not be welcomed by the French FA.

Should there be a possible vacancy, Zidane could be a top contender for the job. The 50-year-old could be thrilled to work with the array of stars in the French national team.
