UEFA are waiting for the referee's final report before discussing the final decision over the red card offence of Cristiano Ronaldo. If the officials have had a look at the footage post the match and decide that the Ronaldo red card was a mistake, they might just report the same to UEFA and the ban can be rescinded by the committee.
Even if this being an outrageous possibility, there still exists a chance for the same, as VAR might have resulted in Ronaldo not getting sent off during the match, which is a big factor to be taken into consideration by UEFA.
