When everyone thought that Chelsea would park the bus at the Camp Nou, Antonio Conte’s men had different ideas and came out all guns blazing against Barcelona.

Though Barcelona took an early lead, there was no shortage of hard work and effort from Chelsea as they created a lot of chances in the first half.

Willian, Eden Hazard, and Marcos Alonso played wonderfully on the night, except for their woeful finishing. Alonso and Willian were lively on the flanks and created a lot of problems for Barcelona.

Olivier Giroud went close in the 13th minute while Willian came close to making it 2-1 in the 38th minute. Kante too tried his luck from long range in the 39th minute while Alonso struck the woodwork in the 45th minute.

They were excellent going forward but defensively below par. Third Barcelona goal killed the game completely and the last few minutes were merely a formality.
