2. Lack of good finishing
City's recent game against Tottenham Hotspur has been the story of their season. Their games have followed a specific trend: the team dominates proceedings, the players keep missing clear goalscoring opportunities, and finally the opposition scores with their first real sighting of the City goal.
Even more telling is the fact that there seem to be no designated penalty takers at the club. Many players have missed important penalties throughout the season and that has really cost City a lot.
When it comes to penalties, nobody seems to be scoring them. Raheem Sterling has already missed two, and Gabriel Jesus has missed four of his last six.
With the Premier League title already out of their grasp, a decision needs to be taken on who should take penalties. If City have to do any good to their Champions League chances with Real Madrid looming, the players must improve their finishing.
