Following the completion of the FA Cup third round draw, every team is now aware of the opposition they will be facing in January 2020. A couple of games to look forward to include the Merseyside Derby as well as Manchester United's trip to Molineux Stadium to face Wolves.

Arsenal and Manchester United are the two most successful sides in the FA Cup, having won on 13 and 12 occasions respectively. However, given their poor forms this season, it is hard to envision either club winning any trophies.

Meanwhile, fans will be rooting for the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City to win the competition. Both clubs have been dominant across all competitions in the last two seasons and the FA Cup is no exception. Here is a look at three teams that are favourites to win the trophy.

Liverpool will face Everton in the third round of the FA Cup and without a doubt, it will be an exciting yet tough test for Jurgen Klopp's side. Last season, the Reds fell to a surprise defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers which ended their journey in the competition. Despite missing out on that trophy, they went on to win the UEFA Champions League in May.

Given Liverpool's dominance in the Premier League this season, they are in a strong position to excel in all competitions including the FA Cup. The last time the Reds won the FA Cup trophy was back in the 2005-06 season where they beat West Ham on penalties.

History aside, Liverpool are in such great form domestically that they have not lost in the EPL and drawn just once in 14 games. Furthermore, Everton have not beaten Liverpool at Anfield since September 1999 and as such, the Reds are tipped to advance to the next round of the competition.

Regarded as one of the best teams in England and Europe, it is undeniable that Liverpool are a strong contender to win the FA Cup this season.
