Tottenham Hotspur v AFC Bournemouth - Premier League

Under Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham Hotspur failed to win a single trophy. Now, with Jose Mourinho in charge, it could be a different story. Mourinho has such great experience in performing well in domestic and European competitions. His knack for winning cup trophies (four League Cup and one FA Cup) could help Tottenham advance far in the FA Cup this season.

Last season, Pochettino's side was eliminated following a defeat to Crystal Palace in the fourth round. Come January, Spurs will travel to Middlesbrough, who are at the bottom of the Championship standings. Since appointing Mourinho as the new manager, The Lilywhites are seeing a positive change in terms of results. Pochettino's last five league games ended without a win but the Portuguese has now led Tottenham to two consecutive victories.

The North London club is expected to do well under Mourinho and possibly win a few trophies before his infamous third-season syndrome kicks in. Spurs have a strong attacking force including the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min which could serve them well in the competition. Most notably, Kane mentioned that his team sets sights on winning the FA Cup trophy this season under Mourinho.
