#1 Start Vidal over Rakitic/Busquets in less important games

Vidal is unhappy with Valverde's decision to bench him

Arturo Vidal seems to be furious with the manager's decisions to bench him for nearly 5 games in a row. The Chilean took it to Instagram to showcase his anger on that matter, for which he later replied saying it wasn't for the coach.

Vidal is certainly a quality player but Valverde seems to be unimpressed. He has not given Vidal a chance to prove himself and this has had negative effects on Arturo's behaviour.

However, I do not see the reason behind benching Vidal. He provides a great protection to the back four and can play as a pure Central Defensive Midfielder as well.

His time at Juventus and Bayern Munich are enough to support my claim above, but the boss clearly does not intend to start him.

Though Rakitic and Busquets provide sensational performances, lack of rest can hinder their performance. Vidal can be played as a starter in league games, considering the fact that he is as good as before.
