#2 Julian Nagelsmann

As far as young managers go, Julian Nagelsmann is the gold standard. The 33-year-old has turned RB Leipzig into one of the strongest sides in Europe.

Nagelsmann's stock has increased exponentially over the past couple of seasons as he guided the Bundesliga outfit to the Champions League semi-finals in the 2019-20 season.

Nagelsmann uses a high-intensity, high-pressing game that is quite similar to what Jurgen Klopp has got going at Liverpool. The current RB Leipzig manager has done wonders with the personnel he has had at his disposal.

At Liverpool, he will have even better players to work with and it's likely to work out well for all parties involved. However, the risk that comes with Nagelsmann is quite obvious. Liverpool are a side that has suffered due to the high-intensity game that they've been playing.

It might not be the most sustainable project if you look at it like that but the mark of a good manager is how well he can adapt to challenging environments. Nagelsmann has proven that he can do it at a young age and could very well prove to be a great fit for the Merseysiders.

#1 Steven Gerrard

Steven Gerrard's Rangers are on their way to their first Scottish league title in a decade. The Liverpool manager has silenced his critics in the most impressive manner and he is odds-on favourites to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

The Kop will roll the red carpet out to welcome their former player. Gerrard favours a possession-based, attacking style of football and relies on wide-forwards who can progress the ball down the flanks while the full-backs make overlapping runs. This could work well for Liverpool with the personnel they have.

Stevie G is one of the most promising young managers in the scene and he will be a perfect fit for Liverpool. Perhaps no one understands the club and its philosophy better than Gerrard and he will be hungry to win the Premier League title with Liverpool- something that he was not able to do as a player.
