Paulo Dybala has been immense in this season so far
3. Antonio Rudiger (Germany and Chelsea)

Antonio Rudiger
Rudiger was signed by Chelsea from AS Roma in 2017 and has been very impressive for them ever since. The 25-year-old centre-back has very good man-marking skills and is a strong tackler. He is also an exceptionally good header of the ball and poses an aerial threat to the opposition. Chelsea are at the 2nd position in the league and some credit for that should go to Rudiger too.
Rudiger has also become an intrinsic part of the German national team after having a very decent World Cup in 2018. He has already earned 27 caps for Die Mannschaft and remains one of their more dependable players. He has also played as a fullback for his national team and impressed with his crossing abilities too. Rudiger is likely to have a very successful career ahead of him and should remain one of the premier defenders in the world in the coming years.

Subhadeep, an adept tennis journalist at Sportskeeda, has been writing about the sport for seven years. He is known for his exclusive match reviews and opinion pieces, utilizing his MBA degree to tackle them effectively with his problem-solving abilities.
Subhadeep lives and breathes tennis. He watches matches regularly and engages in social media platforms to stay on top of the latest happenings. As a writer, he brings the fan's perspective to his pieces, ensuring his readers enjoy an exceptional experience every time.
Growing up, he idolized Boris Becker, but he now firmly believes Novak Djokovic stands alone as the 'Greatest of all Time', especially considering the 24-time Grand Slam champion's incredible stats. One thing that still puzzles Subhadeep, however, is how Becker's Wimbledon tally might have reached five if not for Pete Sampras.

When not working for Sportskeeda, Subhadeep delves into the other "love of his life": football, and enjoys contributing his insights to different websites dedicated to the sport.
