The England international started his professional career with Southampton and made 36 league appearances for the Saints before joining Arsenal in the summer transfer window of 2011.

He enjoyed a decent spell with the Gunners and made 132 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring nine goals. Chamberlain won three FA Cups with the London-based club, along with three FA Community Shields.

However, he mostly played out of position at Arsenal and moved to Liverpool in 2017 in order to play at his preferred midfield position. He thrived as a midfielder at Liverpool and was an important part of Liverpool squad before getting injured in Liverpool's Champions League tie against AS Roma in April 2018.

He missed Liverpool's Champions League final against Real Madrid last season and was sidelined for England's FIFA World Cup campaign. He is expected to return at the start of the 2019-2020 season and will be looking forward to continuing from where he left off before the injury.
