#3 Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane, Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

There was a time when Manchester City seemed to be performing at a level that seemed impossible to keep up with. They were passing the ball around and running rings around Premier League defences week in and week out.

Pep couldn't have asked for a better trio. Sterling, Sane and Aguero complemented each other brilliantly and they were ably supported by David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne behind them. Sterling's trickery, Sane's pace and Sergio Aguero's finesse were all on show over the entirety of the season and it was nothing short of a treat to watch.

The trio scored 49 goals between them over the course of the Premier League season and also racked up 34 assists. That means they were directly involved in 83 goals in the Prem alone.

#2 Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah

Easily the best attacking trio in the Premier League right now, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have been giving defenders nightmares for almost three seasons now. The trio have incredible chemistry and almost always operate on the same wavelength.

None of the three are stalwarts in a physical sense but they all have pace and are all nimble-footed and pack a bag of tricks. Firmino is not your typical no.9 and leaves the weight of goalscoring to Mane and Salah but its his industry and intelligence that enable his teammates to express themselves to the fullest.

Salah and Mane scored 22 goals each and finished the 2018-19 season sharing the Golden Boot with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The trio were perhaps the most important part of Jurgen Klopp's side that won the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League in successive seasons.

#1 Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez (Manchester United)

It's a pity that we didn't get to see three of the finest attackers in the world at that time playing together for longer than they did. It was essentially peak Cristiano Ronaldo, peak Wayne Rooney and peak Carlos Tevez tearing the Premier League defences into smithereens.

They were simply too hot to handle and despite the initial speculation that the three egos wouldn't be able to exist together, once they started clicking in the final third, there was no looking back. Manchester United were too hot to handle that season.

Get this, Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez scored an unbelievable 79 goals between them in the 2007/08 season and racked up 30 assists. Ultimately, the combined to score 93 goals from 42 games. Need I say more?
