Big day today!
Big day today!

It's the deadline day today and so many deals are in the pipeline! Every top club barring Manchester United and Real Madrid are still hunting for players and are desperate to sign them before the window shuts.

Here are 5 big money transfers that will most likely be confirmed today:

#5 - Kylian Mbappe to Paris Saint-Germain

France v Spain International Friendly
It's finally done!

Parsi Saint-Germain are finally set to announce the signing of Kylian Mbappe from AS Monaco today. The move will be a loan move with a €180 million worth option to buy at the end of the season.

The deal isn't as simple as it looks. The only reason PSG are signing him on loan is to squeeze past the FFP rules. They have already signed Neymar for the world record fee and thus can't sign another player for over €100 million.

The move has been pending for a long time now and reports suggest that AS Monaco are the ones delaying it as they want to get their targets signed so that the price doesn't shoot up.

#4 - Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona

Liverpool v Crystal Palace - Premier League
Here I come!

The most dragged transfer saga this summer. Barcelona kept bidding and Liverpool kept rejecting it. However, things have changed ever since the player handed in a transfer request and started skipping matches by complaining of illness.

Barcelona have reportedly agreed a €160 million deal with Liverpool for the Brazilian and the player should be joining the Calatan side today if reports are to be believed.

The Reds have already started signing replacements with Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain joining them.

Barcelona meanwhile are also in talks with Thomas Lemar and Riyad Mahrez should Liverpool pull out of this ldeal in the very last moment.

#3 - Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool

GNK Dinamo Zagreb v Arsenal FC - UEFA Champions League
Central role finally?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is finally set to join his favorite childhood club, Liverpool. The midfielder was set to join Chelsea from Arsenal but was not happy with the role offered to him.

Chamberlain wants to play as a central midfielder while Antonio Conte was signing him as a right wing-back. The talks stalled after Chelsea revealed this to Chamberlain and he opted to join Liverpool instead.

Arsenal and Liverpool have agreed a £35 million fee that will rise to £40 million based on his and the club's performance. The Gunners were happy to let him go as he is in the final year of his contract and was not willing to sign a new one.

Liverpool already have Emre Can, Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson and Philippe Coutinho (if he stays) to play a central role in the midfield. So it will be interesting to see how Chamberlain fits in and how much time he gets to play.

#2 - Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid

Chelsea v Arsenal - Premier League
And done!

Deigo Costa is finally set to be a relieved man as he's set to join his former club, Atletico Madrid today.

Reports suggest that Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have agreed a £50 million fee for him and he's set to join them. However, he will be loaned out to Las Palmas or Everton for the next 6 months as he can't be registered by Atletico.

The striker has been waiting for the clubs to agree a deal after Antonio Conte told him that he was not in his plans for the season. The manager texted him earlier this summer and asked him to find a club as he was not going to get a chance to play at Chelsea again.

Costa has been in Brazil ever since and has refused to head back to Chelsea and train. Everton and AC Milan have also registered their interest in him but the player rejected the moves.

#1 - Danny Drinkwater to Chelsea

Leicester City v Newcastle United - Premier League
Reunion with Kante

Chelsea are finally set to announce the signing of Danny Drinkwater today if reports are to be believed. The move will cost the Premier League champions around £30 million.

Drinkwater has already handed in a transfer request at Leicester City and has been waiting for the green signal to head to Cobham and have his medical.

Leicester City were reluctant to sell him for anything under £40 million but were offered only £25 million by Chelsea. The Blues have managed to convince the Foxes to sell him for a lower price and are now set to sign him.

Apart from Drinkwater, Chelsea have also lined up Fernando Llorente, Cedric Soares, and Ross Barkley.
