#3 Dujon Sterling

Dujon Sterling has been a Chelsea player since his Under-8 days! The right-back had a pretty glittering youth career with The Blues but, despite making his senior debut way back in 2017, Sterling has been loaned out repeatedly because of Chelsea having a problem of plenty.

His last loan spell was with Wigan in the Championship and it will be a miracle if he gets a chance in the first team this season for Chelsea. The England youth international is still only 20 and has oodles of talent.

However, he needs prolonged first-team experience to continue his development and will be looking for another stable loan move this season. He has also had issues with injuries and will look forward to playing a full season this time around.

#2 Jake Clarke-Salter

Another young, talented defender, another experienced Chelsea loanee! It seems Chelsea have too many of these up their sleeves. Jake Clarke-Salter has been a Chelsea player since 2006 and, though he is back with the Blues in pre-season, he is seriously mulling his next loan move after starring for Birmingham City in the Championship last season.

Clarke-Salter, who is now 22, has had loan spells with Sunderland, Bristol, Vitesse and Birmingham and will probably go back to a Championship side this season as he continues his development.

He has loads of suitors including Derby, West Brom,Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield and previous team Birmingham, who might even want him on a permanent transfer.

#1 Malang Sarr

Days ago, Chelsea made news by bringing the Nice defender as a free agent to the club. Now, Malang Sarr is already heading for the exit door according to reports, albeit via a loan move to Bayer Leverkusen, as Chelsea sweeten the snatching away of prized asset Havertz from the German club.

The France U21 international is a real talent and is earmarked as one for the future by the Chelsea brass, but it will be much better for him to get top-level game experience at the Bundesliga rather than warming the bench at Stamford Bridge.

Havertz could be moving to Chelsea for £90 million and Bayer Leverkusen will be hoping to get Malang Sarr on loan as an extra sweetner.

Other Chelsea players who could go out on loan: Ian Maatsen, Lewis Bate, Nathan Baxter, Baba Rahman.
