The 32-year-old is going through a rough patch, scoring just 2 goals in the domestic league. Gareth Bale has had a frustrating last couple of seasons owing to injuries, so that's two key players not doing so well.
On the wings, the whites have Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez at their disposal, but Alexis Sanchez will prove to be a valuable asset with his experience and he'll also increase the squad depth.
Karim Benzema is the only experienced striker and the other forward option available for Real Madrid is the young Borja Mayoral who has scored only once in the 11 games he has played this season. Selling Morata was clearly a mistake, so bringing in Sanchez would be a wise move.
Sanchez will add pace, tenacity and goals. In addition to that, the Chilean is versatile and can play anywhere across the front line which is another reason why the Spanish Champions should be after the 28-year-old.
Sanchez is undoubtedly a world-class player, but lest we forget, he has played for Barcelona. So it remains to be seen if he'll be open to a move to the Spanish capital.
