#4 Cesar Azpilicueta (Trophies Won – 11)
Fourth on this list is Chelsea’s Mr Dependable, Cesar Azpilicueta. Azpilicueta has been a loyal servant at Stamford Bridge for the last eight years. He has constantly been one of the first names on the team sheet despite the revolving door of managers.
Although the Spaniard wasn’t a part of the great Spanish teams that dominated international football from 2008 to 2012, Azpilicueta has tasted international success at the youth level. The Spain international was an integral part of the Under-21 and Under-19 teams that won the European Championships in 2011 and 2007 respectively.
After starting his career with Osasuna in his homeland, Azpilicueta made a switch to French giants Marseille in 2010. The right-back enjoyed two successful seasons in France, which culminated in him winning the French League Cup in his final campaign.
Azpilicueta’s defensive prowess and leadership qualities convinced Chelsea to shell out just £7 million, a steal if you consider the current market situation. The Spaniard has gone on to make more than 350 appearances for the London club, lifting a host of trophies during his 8-year spell.
The current Chelsea captain has won the Premier League twice, lifted both the League and FA Cups, and has won two Europa League trophies. Still just 30-years of age, Azpilicueta has a lot of football left in him, and will surely be targeting the only club trophy missing in his cabinet – the Champions League.
