Although he doesn’t start consistently for Juventus, Rugani is still one of the most sought-after defenders in Europe. In fact, he has been linked with a move to the Premier League for the past three summers.

At just 22 years of age, the Italian has an aura that separates him from the rest of his peers. In addition to his intangibles, the former Empoli man is also calm, composed and can play out of the back. It is no wonder that several members of the Turin outfit’s set-up often refer to him as the heir to the legacy of Fabio Cannavaro.

While Rugani has been content to sit on the bench for the last couple of seasons, the prospect of reuniting with Antonio Conte and playing regular minutes for the Premier League Champions might just be enough to prise him away from La Vecchia Signora
