#3 Luis Suarez | Liverpool

The second Liverpool player on this list, Suarez was an outstanding player during his time in the Premier League. Suarez has always been a highly controversial player however his quality is indisputable as the Uruguayan is easily one of the best strikers of his generation.

Luis Suarez joined Liverpool in January 2011 and went on to make 110 Premier League appearances scoring 69 times. Although he struggled a bit in his first full season at the club, the striker came alive in his final two seasons at Liverpool, winning numerous individual awards.

The striker was named in the PFA Team of the Year for his final two seasons at Liverpool. His final season at Liverpool was his best for the club as he was named PFA Player of the Year. Suarez also won the Premier League Golden Boot, Premier League Player of the Season award and the FWA Player of the Season award in his final season.

Suarez, however, failed to win the Premier League title with Liverpool winning just the League Cup at the Merseyside club. He joined Barcelona in 2014 and quickly established himself as one of the best players in the world, scoring almost 200 goals and winning 13 trophies.

The Uruguayan joined Atletico Madrid last season and once again went on to win the Spanish league title.

The Italian was voted Chelsea's greatest player ever in 2003 quantifying the sheer quality possessed by the player. However, all of Zola's brilliance at Stamford Bridge was not enough to fetch him a Premier League medal.

Zola joined Chelsea in 1996 and quickly endeared himself to the hearts of Chelsea supporters with his mesmerizing performances over the next seven years. He appeared for Chelsea over 200 times in the Premier League and scored 59 goals.

Gianfranco Zola was named the FWA Player of the Year in his debut season making him the first-ever player to win the award without playing a full Premier League season. The Italian was also the first-ever Chelsea player to win the award.

He won six trophies at Chelsea but could never manage to win the Premier League before returning to Italy in 2003.

Steven Gerrard, the third Liverpool player on the list, is perhaps the most notable name in the Merseyside club's Premier League history. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of his generation, Gerrard is perhaps the greatest player to have never won the Premier League.

Gerrard spent 17 seasons at Liverpool and was team captain for 12 of those seasons. He won nine trophies during his time at Anfield, leading his side to four of those. The English midfielder was an integral part of Liverpool's famous 'Miracle of Istanbul' which saw the club lift their first Champions League title in 20 years.

With over 700 games played and 186 goals scored, Gerrard is undoubtedly a Liverpool legend. However, when his side came closest to winning the Premier League, an ill-timed slip from Gerrard saw his club's ambitions go down the drain.

Despite not winning the Premier League, Gerrard is widely revered by football fans all over the world. The midfielder garnered several individual awards, including the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005. Gerrard was also named in the PFA Premier League team of the Year eight times and finished third in the Ballon d'Or running in 2005.
