In his 24th Champions League game, Harry Kane scored his 20th goal in the competition. It made the Tottenham Hotspur striker the fastest player to reach the landmark, downing the previous record of Alessandro Del Piero who did so in 26 games for Juventus.

Ruud van Nistelrooy (27 games) and Filippo Inzaghi (28 games) are the only other players to score 20 Champions League goals before their 30th appearance in the competition while Mario Gomez did so in 32 games.

Among active players in this season's Champions League who have scored more goals in the competition than Kane, Karim Benzema reached 20 Champions League goals in his 34th game, and Robert Lewandowski took 36 games.

The two-all time top-scorers in the Champions League, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, took 56 and 40 games respectively to score their 20th goals in the competition.

#3: For the first time in 13 games, a team managed by Jose Mourinho wins a Champions League game after being 2 goals down

In his first European game in charge of Tottenham Hotspur, Jose Mourinho's new club got off to the worst possible start when they went two goals down at home to Olympiacos inside the opening 20 minutes.

After Dele Alli reduced the arrears on the cusp of halftime, Harry Kane restored parity for the hosts before Serge Aurier's 73rd minute strike put Spurs in the lead for the first time in the game.

Four minutes later, Kane's second of the night rubber-stamped a fine-comeback win for last season's Champions League finalists. Victory for Spurs also sealed their berth in the Round of 16, behind group-winners Bayern Munich.

Kane's second goal was a landmark one as the English striker became the quickest player to reach the landmark of 20 goals in the competition. In the process, a Mourinho-managed team won a Champions League game from two goals down for the first time in 13 attempts. In all the 12 previous occasions, Mourinho's team had endured defeat.
