Juventus v Real Madrid - UEFA Champions League Quarter Final Leg One
It was a tough night for the Juve players

Prior to the first leg against Real Madrid, Juventus hadn't lost at home in Europe since April 2013.

However, a dismal 3-0 loss brought an end to that streak with the Old Lady facing a stern challenge of turning around a three-goal deficit in the second leg at the Santiago Bernebau.

Similarly, this was Juve's second biggest margin of defeat in a European competition, with the previous ones being both by a margin of 4-1, firstly to Bayern Munich in the group stages of the 2009-10 Champions League and the second to Fulham in the Round-of-16 second leg in the 2009-10 UEFA Cup season.

It was for the second time that the Italian giants had conceded three goals at home in the knockout stages, last time being in a 3-2 loss against Manchester United in the semi-finals of this competition in 1999.

This scoreline also matches the Italian Champions for their second heaviest loss this season in the Champions League, with the previous one being to Barcelona away to the Camp Nou in the group stages.
