#1 Ronaldo hits a new landmark

Ronaldo's opening goal of the game meant that this was for the 10th straight game that he scored in the Champions League.
The streak dates back to the last season's UCL final, in Cardiff, against Juventus where he scored a brace to help his team lift the trophy in back to back years.
He added another one in the second half, following a superb overhead kick to make it 2-0 for Real Madrid.
During this span of 10 games, the Portuguese Phenom has accumulated 16 goals and has hit double figures on six separate occasions.
Similarly, Ronaldo also broke the previously held record of Ruud Van Nistelrooy in Europe. The Dutchman had held the record of scoring in nine successive games in the 2002-03 season when he was flourishing in the colours of Manchester United.
On the other hand, he also achieved another personal yet less significant record of scoring his fastest goal in Europe, when he broke the deadlock after just 166 seconds.
