5 contenders for Premier League's Golden Boot award for 2018/19 season

Liverpool v Brighton and Hove Albion - Premier League
The battle to replace Mo Salah would be fierce

#2 Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

Arsenal v Manchester City - Carabao Cup Final
The gunman, Aguero has the support cast others envy

The oldest player on the list and also the most experienced, it's easy to see why Aguero remains one of the best strikers in the Premier League.

The Argentine has been plundering goals for fun since he joined the Cityzens in 2012. The 2018/2019 season should be no different. Deadly in and around the box, with the close control, razor-sharp finishing and deadly runs that all world-class strikers possess, Aguero looks primed for another 20+ goals season.

While it's expected that Pep Guardiola will rotate his strike force/game time between the Argentine and Brazilian Gabriel Jesus, Aguero should still get enough games to plunder his fair share of goals.

This is because the creativity and inventive nature of the Manchester City midfield (and fullbacks) are still unmatched by any other team in the league.

With the addition of £60m man, Riyadh Mahrez, Aguero's supply line is now even better. This spells bad news for the rest of the league as it means that if he stays fit, he may well break his own personal record.
