Real Madrid v Barcelona - La Liga
FC Barcelona have been exciting to watch

The first and foremost reason as to why millions and millions of people love football is the entertainment factor associated with our beautiful game. Nothing can give a high as seeing an entertaining game of football, laden with goals.

Europe has been the hotbed of attractive football since the game began and the tradition has gone on till date. This season, some teams have caught the eye week in and week out with their firebrand style of football, dismantling defences and scoring goals for fun.

In this segment, we will take a look at the five most entertaining teams from the current campaign that have packed the punch while going forward without disappointing the fans and the neutrals so far in the season:

#5 FC Barcelona (La Liga)

Losing Neymar last summer and to Real Madrid in the Super Cup, not many had thought that at this stage, FC Barcelona would be unbeaten in the league and the favourites to complete yet another treble.

All that has been achieved by the simple yet reliable tactics of Ernesto Valverde. Employing a traditional 4-4-2 system, he has made them robust than ever before but that has not toned down the brilliance of Barcelona going forward like in the previous years.

The combinational play, reliance on fullbacks to join in the attack along with the surprise threat of Paulinho has made Barcelona a treat to watch this season. And well, they do have a certain Lionel Messi in their ranks which gives us all the more reasons to enjoy the Catalans in full flow.

Scoring 74 goals in the league this season, FC Barcelona are joint third with AS Monaco in most league goals scored in Europe. They also have created 316 chances this season with Messi leading the charts with 12 assists.

#4 Paris Saint Germain (Ligue 1)

Metz v Paris Saint Germain - Ligue 1
PSG's MCN trio have scored for fun this season

Though the two star forwards, Edinson Cavani and Neymar have had problems aplenty on and off the field, that has not deterred the French giants from putting the opposition to the sword and literally scoring for fun.

PSG have staggeringly scored 93 league goals and lead the goalscoring charts in Europe at the moment. 387 chances have been created by this PSG unit which may have faltered against Real Madrid in Europe but has surely produced some scintillating attacking displays throughout the campaign. Before their exit, PSG were the most exciting team in the Champions League group stage, scoring a record 25 goals in 6 matches.

The finishing skills of Cavani, the dribbling qualities of Neymar and the pace of Mbappe has made PSG a treat to watch for the neutrals. Neymar, before his season-ending injury, was dominating the Ligue 1 like never before and the Brazilian's skills and showboating combined with his returns in front of goal made PSG a team packed with entertainment.

#3 Napoli (Serie A)

Cagliari Calcio v SSC Napoli - Serie A
Napoli's attractive style of play has caught the eye

As rightly put by Pep Guardiola, Napoli are one of the most exciting teams in the world. Under Maurizio Sarri, the side from Naples have got their mojo back and are fighting for the Scudetto playing a fast-paced, beautiful style of football.

The trio of Insigne, Callejon and Mertens have been brilliant throughout the campaign and especially Dries Mertens, whose transformation into a striker has led him to score goals left, right and centre. Napoli play out from the back and have brilliant passers all over the field, right from Kalidou Koulibaly to Marek Hamsik and Jorginho in midfield.

The intricate passing, fine use of space and a dazzling pace to their attacks has led Napoli to have one of the most potent attacks in Europe this season. They have scored 63 goals this campaign and have created an astonishing 398 chances so far. And the fact that Napoli has achieved all this without spending almost peanuts last summer makes it all the more worth appreciating.

#2 Liverpool (Premier League)

Liverpool v Watford - Premier League
Liverpool have been pure entertainers this time around

Jurgen Klopp has managed to make his Liverpool side a threat for any team in the world. Since the German took over, the Reds have been fluid and efficient going forward and have just enhanced those features this season with the arrival of Mohamed Salah.

Salah has taken the world by storm; scoring 40 goals in all competitions and making a mockery of previous league records. Roberto Firmino has also played a huge role in Liverpool's attacking prowess along with Sadio Mane who has chipped in with big goals in big matches.

The Reds have scored 73 goals this season and have created 401 chances (second in Europe) in the Premier League. Be it their dismantling of teams in Europe (Maribor, Spartak Moscow and FC Porto) or their fine Gegenpressing display against Manchester City at Anfield, Liverpool have never failed to win plaudits for being the scintillating entertainers.

#1 Manchester City (Premier League)

Stoke City v Manchester City - Premier League
City have been exhilarating to watch this season

Did you have any doubts over any other team claiming the top spot on this list other than Manchester City? Well, Guardiola's men have blown away their opposition till now and are termed by many as the best Premier League side of all time.

For many, that might be a too far-fetched claim but looking at this Guardiola side absolutely dominating matches, one tends to get carried away. The brilliance of Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva, the pace of Leroy Sane, the revival of Raheem Sterling and the clinical finishing from Aguero and Jesus has made this City unit a terrorizing prospect for any side.

City have scored 85 goals in the Premier League and can break the all-time record for goals scored in a single campaign. They have created 394 chances in 30 games which is also the fourth best in Europe.

City's attack has undoubtedly been the best in Europe this season and their utter ruthlessness and their ability to stick their manager's philosophy make them the most entertaining team in all the top five leagues in the continent.
