5 of the best second/supporting strikers of the 21st century

Juventus v Udinese Calcio - Serie A
Dybala is considered by many to be the successor of Lionel Messi.

#4 Antoine Griezmann

Sevilla v Atletico Madrid - La Liga
Griezmann was the top-scorer at Euro 2016

One of the names to watch out for in the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup, Griezmann has taken a quantum leap in the last few years. The Frenchman is known for his speed, versatility and impressive finishing, which make him ideal for counter-attacks.

Despite his lean stature, he is astonishingly good in the air as well.

The Real Sociedad academy graduate first came into the spotlight during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Later that year, Atletico Madrid signed him as a goal-scoring alternative for the Chelsea-bound Diego Costa. Their manager, Diego Simeone mostly pairs him alongside target men like Kevin Gameiro and Fernando Torres.

Griezmann has been finishing Atletico's top scorer for the last three seasons. The 2015-16 season saw him attain his peak, reaching the finals of the UEFA Champions League and Euro 2016. Scoring six goals at the latter also helped him finish third at the 2016 Ballon d'Or ceremony.

After a mediocre first-half, he seems to have found his groove in the later part of this season, scoring consecutive hattricks against Sevilla and Leganes.

Although a crowd favourite, the Frenchman's days at Atletico seem numbered with clubs like Barcelona and Manchester City rigorously chasing him.
