Sergio Aguero, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Neymar Jr., Mbappe, Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata; these strikers have scored a lot of goals this season but the ones we are going to see here are simply phenomenal. They are the best in Europe this season and leading their team from the front.

Note:- Goals from the Domestic Leagues Champions (or) Europa League are considered for this article with players from the top 5 European Leagues as of 17/11/2017

Let's see who are the prolific marksmen in Europe this season:

#5 Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur)

Goals: 13

Two-time Premier League's Golden Boot winner in the last 2 years and one of the Europe's prolific marksmen, is having yet another stunning season so far. Harry Kane has been a consistent performer over the last 2 seasons for Tottenham Hotspur and England national team.

He has found the net on 13 occasions this season (8 in the Premier League and 5 in the UEFA Champions League) with 3 assists to add to it. He is only behind Cristiano Ronaldo (6) in the Champions League goalscorer list for 2017/18, showing how good he can be against the best in business.

He may not possess the tricks and skills of Messi or Ronaldo but he is an old-fashioned traditional centre-forward with excellent close control. He is little weak in the air but more than makes up for it with his ruthless finishing and ability to score from anywhere in the box.

At just 24, Harry Kane is still on a learning curve and will improve with every game he plays. He is definitely on the list of top 5 strikers in the world right now.

#4 Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco)

Goals: 14

Manchester City FC v AS Monaco - UEFA Champions League Round of 16: First Leg
Radamel Falcao

Once a prolific striker in Europe with Atletico Madrid and FC Porto, Falco endured a torrid spell on-loan with Manchester United and Chelsea during 14/15 and 15/16 season respectively, scoring only 5 times in 2 seasons combined.

He returned to Monaco during the summer of 2016 and led them to Ligue 1 title in 2017 and a semifinal finish in the UEFA Champions League. He has been prolific so far this season scoring 13 times in 9 league games and once in the Champions League. He scored a Ligue 1 goal every 58 minutes which is better than any striker in Europe with at least 10 goals.

Falcao is equally good with both foot, excellent in the air and has good acceleration. He is a poacher and a natural goal scorer. He has predatory instincts inside the box and can create a goal out of nothing.

With Monaco losing most of their star players last summer, Radamel Falcao needs to continue his good run to keep Monaco hopes alive in the race for Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League title.

#3 Lionel Messi (Barcelona)

Goals: 15

FC Barcelona v RCD Espanyol - La Liga
Lionel Messi

One of the best strikers in the world never fails to make this list for over a decade now. Lionel Messi led Barcelona to glory for many seasons in the past and he started from where he left off last season.

Barcelona are unbeaten in La Liga and in UEFA Champions League, thanks to Messi's brilliance. Messi has scored 12 times in 11 La Liga games so far with another 3 coming from four UEFA Champions League games.

The diminutive star is not new to winning the European Golden Shoe award as he won it multiple times in the past. Messi has been consistently scoring goals for Barcelona and never failed to reach the 40-goal mark in his last 9 seasons.

He had some injury concerns in the past but Messi is fit and scoring goals this season and he will not stop until the season ends. Expect him to be at the top of this list come May 2018.

#2 Ciro Immobile (Lazio)

Goals: 16

SS Lazio v Cagliari Calcio - Serie A
Ciro Immobile

The Italian international is a surprise player on this list but a deserving one. Ciro Immobile has been a revelation for Lazio in Serie A this season. Ever since his move to Lazio is 2016, Immobile has been in stunning form.

He scored 23 times in Serie A last season and already scored 14 times in 11 Serie A games so far this season, with 6 assists. He has already scored 4 braces and 1 hat-trick this season and his brace against Juventus was simply brilliant.

Immobile is leading Lazio's charge for a place in Europe next season. He is equally good with both feet, physically intimidating despite his short stature, excellent in the air, lethal with his finishing and has a solid technique.

With Lazio doing well in the Serie A and Europa League, Immobile has every chance to challenge some of the best strikers in the world to top this list.

#1 Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain)

Goals: 17

FC Barcelona v Paris Saint-Germain - UEFA Champions League Quarter Final: Second Leg
Edinson Cavani

Neymar or no Neymar, Cavani is the King of Paris. After spending most of him PSG career in the shadow of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani is now showing everyone how good a target man he can be. He was sensational for Paris Saint-Germain in the 2016/17 campaign and continuing his good form in the 2017/18 season.

Cavani is a supremely fit athlete, capable of tormenting the opposition defence all day. He can score goals, both in the air and with his feet. In 11 Ligue 1 games, Cavani has 13 goals and 2 assists plus 4 goals in 4 UEFA Champions League games.

With the creativity of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe on either side of him in the Paris Saint-Germain front line, Edinson Cavani is certain to get a lot of goal scoring opportunities and he is not going to miss many of them. PSG has the quality to go all they in League and in Europe, giving a perfect chance for Cavani to stake his claim for next Ballon d'Or.
