#3 Michy Batshuayi

Chelsea signed Michy Batshuayi from Marseille in the summer of 2016 for a reported fee of £33 million. He started the season well by scoring in his first two Premier League games. But he was never able to displace Diego Costa as the main striker and his season ultimately consisted of five goals in only 236 minutes of Premier League action.

One of those goals, though, will never be forgotten by Chelsea fans as it was a late 1-0 winner which sealed their title triumph away to West Brom.

Batshuayi spent another six months at the club before he was loaned to Borussia Dortmund in the second half of the 2017-18 campaign. That was followed by a short loan spell at Valencia before he went on to two separate loan spells at Crystal Palace.

The Belgian recently signed a new contract until 2023 and joined Turkey's Besiktas on loan for the season.

With Chelsea having a plethora of attacking talent at their disposal right now, it doesn't look like Batshuayi will don the club's colors again.

#2 Danny Drinkwater

Drinkwater's career has gone in an opposite direction since winning the Premier League

Danny Drinkwater was signed by Chelsea in 2017 to partner his former Leicester team-mate N'Golo Kante at the heart of their midfield.

The former duo excelled for Leicester in the 2015-16 season as the Foxes famously won the Premier League title against all odds. Although Kante has kicked on since then and gone on to become one of the best midfielders in the world, Drinkwater's career has gone in the opposite direction.

He's made just 23 appearances for Chelsea, and just 17 across three loan spells combined in the last two years, with a fair share of disciplinary issues as well. The midfielder was even shipped off to Turkey last year, highlighting his fall from grace since leaving Leicester.

Drinkwater joined Baba Rahman on loan at Reading on deadline day of the summer transfer window. The 31-year-old will hope to resurrect his career in the Championship but it's fair to say that his time at Stamford Bridge is definitely over.

#1 Tiemoue Bakayoko

Tiemoue Bakayoko joined Chelsea from Monaco as the French champions were raided following their Ligue 1 title success in the 2016-17 season. He arrived at the club for £40 million, becoming Chelsea's second-most expensive signing at the time.

Despite the incredible promise that the Frenchman arrived with, it never really worked for the midfielder in England. He managed to make 43 appearances in all competitions and also helped Chelsea lift the FA Cup. But he never quite settled in at Stamford Bridge and was shipped out to Milan the following summer.

Further loan spells at Monaco and Napoli have followed as it became increasingly clear that he has no long-term future at Stamford Bridge.

The French international is now back at AC Milan on a two-year loan deal which also includes an option to make the move permanent for £15 million.

Chelsea will be hoping Milan can make the move permanent as the Blues look to recoup some of the transfer fees spent on the Frenchman. Undoubtedly, he has arguably been one of their worst signings in the last decade.
