Paul Pogba is a 25-year-old central midfielder who plays for Manchester United in the Premier League. He also features for France's national team, having made 64 appearances since his debut in March 2013, scoring 10 goals in the process.

Pogba's return to Manchester United hasn't quite gone according to plan. He originally left United in the summer of 2012, after Sir Alex Ferguson lumped him in with players who weren't seen as good enough for the first team. But he went to Juventus and lit up the Serie A, transforming almost overnight into a superstar in his own right.

And that's what everybody had expected him to do on his return to the Premier League, but he's been on a decline in form since joining back in 2016. First team appearances were hard to come by towards the end of Mourinho's reign, and this supposedly had a lot to do with Pogba's sour attitude.

However, there's no denying the quality that Pogba has, but many understandably wonder why he fails to show it so often at Old Trafford. Is the Premier League too tough for him, or has he simply become complacent and half-hearted?

These issues haven't stopped Paris Saint-Germain's interest in the midfielder, though, and they seem determined to get their man next month, whatever the cost.

Had Mourinho stayed with United through the January transfer window, I think Pogba's exit would've been on the cards, either through Mourinho's hand in it or Pogba deciding enough is enough. But now that Jose is no longer at the club, Pogba might feel as if things have freshened up and he can start a new chapter.

Pogba was heavily linked to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, but an actual offer failed to materialise as the France international seemed content at the time. But now that everything has changed, just how possible could a transfer to Paris be?

Paris United (via SportsJOE) recently reported that Pogba is considering a move to PSG next month, and given his strong friendship with Neymar and Mbappe, things could start shifting into place soon. Neymar holds a lot of power in the club, so could get Pogba a cushty deal if he should choose to make the switch in January.
