Mauro Icardi has gone under the radar compared to the likes of Paulo Dybala, Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi but is a great player and is currently scoring goals for the sake of fun in the Serie A.
The Argentine joined Inter Milan from Sampordia in 2013 and has scored 103 goals in 165 matches for the Nerazzurri. He won the Serie A Golden Boot for the 2014-2015 and 2017-2018 seasons and was a part of the of Serie A Team of the Season for 2014-2015.
The 25-year-old is a genuine poacher who is deadly in front of the goal. He probably would not feature in the fastest strikers but utilizes his quality splendidly to wreak havoc among the best defensive line-ups. Icardi is a practised set-piece taker and does not timid shy from assuming responsibility during the critical stages.
Icardi was at Barcelona's academy for a total of three years, however, he neglected to break into the senior group and in the long run moved to Sampordia to proceed with his career.
At this point, reports suggest that Real Madrid are targeting Icardi, however, it may not be too late for Barcelona to step into the race to sign the amazing striker.
