Chelsea face Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup tonight and the team is set to be shuffled around. Antonio Conte has confirmed that he will be playing young players in the starting XI.

Here are 5 players who Conte should pick for the starting XI:

#5 - Jake Clarke-Salter

Cesar Azpilicueata deserves some rest and so, it should be Clarke-Salter who should be starting alongside Andrea Christensen and Antonio Rudiger in the back three.

The 19-year-old is highly rated at Chelsea and is tipped to be the long-term replacement for John Terry. The youngster has been at the club since the age of 9 and has spent just one season out on loan — last season at Bristol Rovers.

He recently signed a new long-term contract at Chelsea and was kept at the club by Antonio Conte despite several Championship sides trying to take him on loan. He was a vital part of the England team that won the Under-20 World Cup in South Korea in the summer as well.

#4 - Andrea Christensen

With David Luiz suspended for the next three games, Antonio Conte has confirmed that Christensen has a good chance to start. What better way to put him in than tonight's match?

Nottingham Forest might be in the Championship but they are a tricky side to deal with. Christensen has not played in the last 3 games and it would be a good run out for him before he faces Stoke City in the Premier League.

The Danish international is best suited to play a central role in the back three. He will be comfortable playing with Clarke-Salter and Rudiger. However, if Gary Cahill is to start, it's going to be tough for the youngster.

#3 - Charly Musonda

One player who has already come out and all but confirmed that he's starting tonight is Charly Musonda. The youngster has posted on Instagram thanking all the coaches for their support etc.

The Belgian is set to start on the right wing with Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi joining him up front. The 20-year-old is pacy and has a lot of tricks up his sleeve.

Chelsea fans have been waiting for his debut and were expecting him to make it against Burnley. However, Conte picked Boga instead and that too was cut short to 13 minutes as Gary Cahill was sent off and the manager had to bring on a defender.

#2 - Kenedy

How Kenedy is still at Chelsea, no one will ever know. The Brazilian was punished for his racist posts while on tour in China and was also sent back to London.

He was set to join Newcastle United after the Toons agreed a deal with the Premier League champions. However, Conte vetoed the move as they did not sign Alex Sandro in the summer.

Kenedy is now expected to start tonight in place of Marcos Alonso, who deserves some rest. The Spaniard has played all the games so far this summer and is set to be given a break by the manager tonight.

#1 - Willy Caballero

Apart from Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, Thibaut Courtois has played all the matches so far for Chelsea. The Belgian needs to be given some rest tonight.

Chelsea have a highly experienced Willy Caballero as their 2nd choice and that would make things easier for Antonio Conte. The former Manchester City shot-stopper was the Citizen's hero in the League Cup when they won it and can replicate the same this season.

Caballero will not get to play in the Champions League or the Premier League and this is the only competition he can represent the club right now. He might be given a run the FA Cup too but that does not start until January for the Premier League clubs.
