Here's someone you may know well. Luis Garcia spent much of his club career switching between England and Spain before trying his luck in other countries later on.

In two spells at Atletico Madrid, he made 104 appearances and lifted one title. Between those two stints, he had a three-year spell at Liverpool, where he was an integral part of the Reds' UEFA Champions League-winning campaign in 2005.

He scored the winning goals against Juventus and Chelsea that season, but couldn't sustain that form. Following an ACL injury in January 2007, Liverpool terminated his contract.

Fernando Torres was a prodigy back in the day. Bursting onto the scene with Atletico Madrid in 2001, the striker became highly sought-after in the years that followed. He garnered attention for his imperious scoring exploits and remarkable consistency.

Liverpool acquired his services in 2007 for a then-record fee (€38 million). The Spaniard took his game to new heights there. His ruthless directness and deadly finishing skills made him a Premier League legend. He scored 81 goals in 142 games across competitions for them.

Torres eventually returned to Atletico in 2014 following a difficult spell at Chelsea and a forgettable loan stint with AC Milan. He scored 122 times in 356 games across competitions for the Rojiblancos.

#1 Luis Suarez

Suarez boasts an incredible record at both clubs.
Suarez boasts an incredible record at both clubs.

Fernando Torres was the best Liverpool striker until Luis Suarez arrived. He wasn't an instant hit, but the Uruguayan steadily improved and hit his peak during the 2013-14 season. Suarez scored 31 league goals, and almost ended Liverpool's wait for a first Premier League title, before the Reds floundered down the home stretch.

El Pistolero surpassed Torres for both goals (82 to 81) and assists (47 to 39) for Liverpool, doing so in nine fewer games than the latter.

Following six incredible seasons at Barcelona, the most glorious period of his career, Suarez joined Atletico Madrid last year. He guided them to the La Liga title last year, scoring 21 goals.

He'll look to score on his Anfield return on Wednesday. Suarez has scored once in three games against Liverpool.
