Loaning players between football teams and divisions have been smoothly flowing since the 1995 Bosman ruling and in the early 2000's. Loan deals typically last for a few weeks and months to all season long and can also last for multiple seasons.

The following football players are excellent examples of how short-term loans can be successful. Here we look at 5 players who were part of the various squads that won the Premier League title, while on loan at the club.

#3 Carlos Tevez

Ever since Carlos Tevez's featured in the Premier League with West Ham, the Argentinian has impressed fans and critics alike with his hard work, his eye for goal and link-up play with his teammates. The Argentinian made his debut for Manchester United on 15th August 2007 after opting to sign following a two-year loan arrangement involving United and MSI, who owned the player's economic rights. The deal also involved a tricky third-party ownership of the player associated with Media Sports Investment and its owner Kia Joorabchian.

In his first season at the club, he formed a lethal partnership with Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo that guided United to their second consecutive league title. Tevez notched 14 goals that season and a year later repeated his success winning the Premier League and Champions League.

The 30-year-old went on to win numerous accolades with the Red Devils that included two league titles, a Football League Cup, a FIFA Club World Cup and a UEFA Champions League title during his two-year stint at Old Trafford. Tevez went on to become one of the most lethal strikers in the Premier League and later joined Manchester City where he also won a league title.

#2 Nathan Dyer

Dyer celebrates Leicester City's Premier League triumph

Nathan Dyer was on loan from Swansea to Leicester City and was part of the club's historic title-winning season. Leicester City fended off a late Spurs push to clinch their maiden Premier League title. Dyer made 12 appearances and scored 1 goal in the 15/16 title-winning season, receiving a medal having featured in more than 5 games. Dyer was injured after a good start to the season after a collision with the goalkeeper when he scored his solitary goal of the campaign against Aston Villa.

The Englishman returned to Swansea after his year-long loan spell and currently faces a relegation battle with the club this season. Dyer has not netted a goal this season and has an assist to his name. With his club struggling and in line for the drop, Dyer's football career takes another turn.

#1 Henrik Larrson

Former Manchester United striker, Henrik Larsson was signed on loan from Helsingborg on a six-month deal in 2007. The former Swedish striker was part of the squad that claimed the Premier League trophy and was awarded the medal under special circumstances, despite the player not making the minimum appearance requirements at the time (10).

He made seven appearances for the club and also scored a goal during his time at the club. Then the manager of the club Alex Ferguson admittedly claimed he didn't want the striker returning to his parent club but failed to persuade Larrson to extend his stay.

The Swedish legend enjoyed a fruitful career that saw him play for Barcelona and the majority of his career with Scottish giants Celtic. Larrson captained Sweden and played 106 games for his country, netting 37 goals, during a 16-year career.
