#3 Benedikt Howedes

After making his name at Schalke, for whom he played over 300 games in all competitions, Benedikt Howedes arrived at Juventus on a one-year loan stint in 2017.

However, the competition for places at the club meant that one of Germany's finest ever centre-backs struggled for game-time, managing a meagre three appearances in all competitions.

Nevertheless, the now-retired Howedes won the league and cup double at Juventus that season and only has fond memories of his stay in Turin when he later said:

"The team spirit at Juve was phenomenal. I was extremely impressed by how the boys dealt with each other. Absolute legends like Gigi Buffon or Giorgio Chiellini came to me beaming and were glad that I was there. That was an overwhelming feeling and blew me away. Although both have already achieved everything and won countless titles, they are still hungry for success. That impressed me."

#2 Nicolas Anelka

Much-travelled French striker Nicolas Anelka once turned up for Juventus, albeit in a brief five-month loan spell in 2013 that is largely forgotten.

The Frenchman has played for a plethora of clubs in many different countries - 12 clubs in seven different countries to be exact, and scored goals galore - 208 of them. However, Anelka failed to score in three games for Juventus.

The Bianconeri fans were not enthused in the first place that Juventus signed a 34-year-old striker playing in China, and the club later observed that Anelka was not fit enough. Nevertheless, the Frenchman won the 2012-13 Serie A title at Juventus during an otherwise uneventful stint in Italy.

#1 Ciro Immobile

Ciro Immobile scored a staggering 36 Serie A goals last season to win the Capocannoniere award and propel Lazio to an unlikely title run before the club ran out of steam.

The 30-year-old marksman, who has scored over 200 goals for various clubs in all competitions, began his professional career with Juventus in the summer of 2008.

However, as it turned out, the then teenager only made five appearances for the Bianconeri across two seasons before he was shipped off to Siena on loan. Following a few more spells, Immobile arrived at Lazio in 2016 and has been one of their standout performers.

Immobile has scored 132 goals in 170 games in all competitions for the club, a tally that comprises an impressive 107 strikes in 147 Serie A matches.
