Manchester United's 2021-22 season is proving to be vastly different from their previous ones. The arrival of new players, especially their hero — Cristiano Ronaldo, has given the Red Devils newfound confidence. As of now, Ole Gunnar Solskjær's men sit fourth in the league table, just two points shy of the top spot.
A total of 14 goals off seven games means the 20-time Premier League champs have averaged two goals per game. They also possess an impressive 17.1 shot attempts per game. With Bruno Fernandes, Mason Greenwood, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo, these numbers don't come as a surprise after all.
United fans were lucky to witness some high-octane performances at home this season. Surprisingly, the game that saw Manchester United make 28 attempts towards in on goal (the most for them) also saw them succumb to Aston Villa (0-1).

The Sky Blues boast one of the most formidable attacking players within their ranks. The same is reflected on their scoresheet and in the statsbook. A clear favorite for the title this season, Manchester City are a threat to any opposition. Not just in England but the whole of Europe.
Manchester City have faced all of PL's Big Six, except Manchester United this season. Their best came against Arsenal. Cityzens scored five goals and had 25 shots against the Gunners. They defeated league leaders Chelsea by scoring once (from 15 attempts).
#1 Liverpool — 21
After a below-par season last term, Liverpool are back on top. Jurgen Klopp's men look at their attacking best and have the highest goal attempts in Europe's top five leagues. The Merseysiders have been smashing goals for fun. Their star man Salah's top form is benefitting them in every way.
Liverpool's best came against Crystal Palace. The Reds scored three goals while testing the opposition goal-keeper a total of 25 times. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane get enough help from their midfielders. The same is one of the major reasons for Liverpool's attacking prowess this year.
