#3 Ruben Neves (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

The Premier League has some quality Portuguese players and Ruben Neves is surely one of them. Having started his senior career with Porto, the midfielder joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer of 2017.

With this transfer, Neves was able to reunite with his former manager Nuno Espirito Santo. His first season with Wolves saw them win the Championship and gain promotion to the Premier League. Ever since then, Wolves have managed to stay in the top-tier.

Neves is a very dynamic midfielder, especially with his technical abilities on the ball. The former Porto man has an amazing range of passing and vision at his disposal and can score some stunning long-range goals. Over time, he has preferred to play a deeper role in midfield as he adds more versatility to his game.

His deep play-making abilities have gained attraction from a lot of clubs. He was linked with a move to Manchester United this summer but nothing materialized. With his impressive performances, he surely deserves a club upgrade and hopefully we will see him play for a top club come next season.

#2 Youri Tielemans (Leicester City)

The Belgian midfielder is one of the most technically-gifted midfielders in the Premier League right now. Having come through the ranks of Anderlecht, Youri Tielemans signed for Leicester City in 2019 from AS Monaco.

He was first signed in the winter transfer window of 2019 on a loan. The following summer, the move was made permanent. Since then, Tielemans has been an impressive figure in the Leicester midfield. With Wilfred Ndidi alongside him, the Foxes have had a strong midfield in the Premier League the past two seasons.

Tielemans has a superb passing range at his disposal. From the heart of midfield, he can create chances from unexpected positions. He has an attacking mentality but is also comfortable working hard and winning the ball back. His shooting abilities are too good for a midfielder, which is an asset.

He had an amazing outing against Manchester United recently, showcasing his talents to everyone. With his stellar form, it is only likely that he will be signed by a bigger club next summer.

#1 Declan Rice (West Ham United)

It was a surprise seeing Declan Rice not sign for either Chelsea or Manchester United this summer, considering he was heavily linked with both of them. One of the major reasons it did not happen was West Ham United's very high valuation of the player.

Nevertheless, it will be difficult to keep him at the end of this season if he continues to perform as well as he has done for the past few seasons. Rice, with his smart understanding and reading of the game, brings a high level of composure to the midfield. He can win the ball back and provide incisive passes, kickstarting the attack.

With his ability, Rice is one of the most wanted midfielders in the Premier League right now. Come next summer, the Englishman is almost certain to leave unless West Ham United perform drastically well and book a place in the UEFA Champions League.
