The current season's title race seems to be already over as Manchester City hold a comfortable 15-point advantage at the top.

Pep Guardiola's team were on a 18 game winning streak before they drew against Crystal Palace and are yet to be beaten in the league as the Citizens continue to assert their dominance every match-week.

However, the Premier League has witnessed several seasons where the hunt for the crown ended much earlier than fans anticipated.

Here are few of those campaigns where the Champions dominated the league completely:

In a fairy tale Premier League season, Leicester City surprised everyone by winning the title comprehensively by a margin of 10 points in the table.

The Foxes lost only three games in the league - twice against Arsenal and once against Liverpool as they remarkably dominated the league during the season.

Claudio Ranieri's side stuck to the top-three places in the table till the mid-season, eventually grabbing the top spot in game-week 23 and never dropping down a place till the end of the season.

In an exceptional season for the Underdogs, the top sides failed miserably among which Chelsea had their poorest season as the defending champions finished awfully at the tenth position in the table.

The magical season of the Gunners features fourth on the list - the campaign in which they bossed the league and remained undefeated throughout.

Arsene Wenger's side managed to collect 90 points, 11 more than the runners-up Chelsea. Arsenal's discipline at the back was one of the major reasons behind their 'Invincible' season as they conceded only 26 goals in their 38 games in the league.

The Gunners secured the top spot after the 21st game-week and continued to stay at the top, gradually widening the margin between them and the club below.

Arsenal's players ruled the stats chart as Thierry Henry comfortably finished as the top-scorer of the league by scoring 30 goals, eight more than one of the greatest of all time, Alan Shearer.

Manchester United provided the best possible send-off to their longest serving manager Sir Alex Ferguson as the Red Devils won their 13th Premier League title convincingly by a margin of 11 points.

United racked up 89 points from 38 games as they nearly won 75% of their league games which eased their path to the title.

The Red Devils moved to the top-spot in the 13th game-week by going past their neighbors Manchester City and remained as the table-toppers till the end of the season.

It was their major signing who ruled the goals chart as Robin van Persie netted 26 goals and further provided nine assists to ensure his side a record 13th top-tier triumph.

Twelve months on from the takeover of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, Chelsea appointed Jose Mourinho, who in his first press conference announced himself as the 'Special One' and immediately justified his words with an incredible debut season that ended the west Londoners' 50-year wait for the top-flight league title.

The Blues enjoyed an exceptional season easing their way past fellow Londoners Arsenal, who finished 12 points behind the champions.

Chelsea's only defeat of the Premier League campaign came away at Manchester City in which Nicolas Anelka's penalty proved to be the difference between the sides as Chelsea missed out to replicate Arsenal's invincible 2003/04 season.

It was another defensive heroics which was the key to the title success as Chelsea's defensive unit remained solid to concede a mere 15 goals during the season.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side went past Leeds United in the table during the 21st game-week and enjoyed a lengthy stay at the top, ending the season with an impressive 91 points in the board.

Fergie walked away with the Manager of the Season award while Sunderland's Kevin Philips won the golden boot after scoring 30 goals during the campaign.
