Born in Quilmes on 11th July 1994, Lucas Ocampos had started his career with River Plate.

With "Los Millonarios" he made his debut on 16th August 2011 in the 1-0 win against Chacarita Juniors, while he scored his first goal only a few days later in the 3-1 win against Independiente Rivadavia.

He ended his season with 38 appearances and seven goals and River Plate made it back into the Primera División.

In August 2012, he got a chance to play for Monaco. Ocampos didn't think twice and moved to Ligue 1, where he played three seasons with Monaco (one in Ligue 2, two in Ligue 1) recording 96 appearances and 15 goals.

In February 2015 Lucas moved to Olympique Marseille and scored on his debut away to Rennes.

His experience with OM was full of ups and downs: in two seasons he played 39 games between the league, Europa League, and the French Cup, scoring six goals.

From Argentina, going through France and Italy this young 22-year-old has already the experience of pro-class football.

He can dribble the ball well and likes to play a short-passing game. However, he lacks discipline and ball possession.

His return to Marseille was a much-awaited move.He has scored 10 goals in 31 appearances for them this season.
