#3 Georginio Wijnaldum

Georginio Wijnaldum joined PSG as a free agent ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

The Dutchman, who was an integral part of Liverpool’s Champions League and Premier League-winning campaigns, was meant to offer the Parisiens versatility and dynamism in midfield.

Unfortunately, he has struggled to find his footing at the club and is currently nowhere close to his Liverpool heights. In 27 appearances across competitions, he has only registered three goals and two assists, which is below par by his standards.

Considering Paris Saint-Germain did not pay a transfer fee to sign him, they can still afford to keep him around for another season. However, given the criticism he is facing, the Netherlands international could put in a transfer request himself.

In January, it was reported that the 31-year-old was open to a loan move to Premier League’s Tottenham Hotspur. If his form does not take a turn for the better, we won’t be surprised to see the midfielder back again in the English top-flight.

#2 Mauro Icardi

PSG secured Mauro Icardi’s services from Inter Milan for a hefty €50 million fee ahead of the 2020-21 season.

The Argentine forward has since struggled to find his footing at Paris Saint-Germain, rarely producing performances to write home about.

Icardi has taken part in 26 matches across all competitions this season, playing a total of 1258 minutes of football. So far, he’s only scored five goals for the Parisiens, with four of them coming in Ligue 1 and the other in the French Cup.

Given how ambitious PSG are, we cannot help but think that they are not satisfied with his performances. The former Inter man is still at the capital club, who aren’t likely to hold on to him if an good offer comes in next summer.

#1 Kylian Mbappe

No prizes for guessing this one - Kylian Mbappe is the biggest player who could leave the Parc des Princes at the end of the season. PSG's most consistent performer this season, Mbappe, is out of contract in June and is free to talk to potential suitors.

The France international moved to Paris Saint-Germain from Monaco ahead of the 2017-18 campaign. Since then, Mbappe has easily been the club’s most consistent goal-provider, registering 154 goals and 77 assists in 204 games across competitions.

As one would expect, PSG have been trying their best to tie the 2018 World Cup winner down to a long-term contract. Unfortunately, all of their advances have so far been shot down by the 23-year-old.

If reports are to be believed, Real Madrid are in pole position to get the player on a free transfer in the summer transfer window. However, there has been no official confirmation yet, as both parties just wish to focus on their current campaigns for now.

Expect to see some developments after the conclusion of PSG’s Champions League Round of 16 clash with Los Blancos in March. Mbappe scored a last-gasp winner in the French giants' 1-0 triumph over Real Madrid in the first leg in Paris earlier in the month.
