Jese is attempting to resurge his career at Stoke

When Barcelona were dominating the world of football, Real Madrid's youth academy were quietly producing talents of their own. The youth ranks had the likes of Alvaro Morata, Pablo Sarabia, Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez, Nacho Fernandez and Jese Rodriguez coming up at about the same time.

Among the list of players that have been mentioned above, the two players that were touted to be the most talented among the group - Pablo Sarabia and Jese Rodriguez - are the only two players that are not playing for a top club at the moment.

While Sarabia could never really translate his brilliance at the top-most competitive level, Jese actually had a brilliant start to his Real Madrid career, scoring 8 goals in 32 games in his first full season at the club.

However, an injury in March that season completely tore his anterior cruciate ligament and he was subsequently out for nine months. He returned to action in December that year, but was far from the forward who scored for fun in the league.

After failing to find his best form, he was sold to Paris-Saint Germain, but endured a tough first-half of the 2016-17 season. In January, he was loaned out to Las Palmas, where he showed glimpses of his former self, but the arrival of Neymar meant that he had no place in the first-team.

Jese now finds himself on a second loan stint - and this time at Stoke City in the Premier League.
