#3 Stable Chelsea defence

Chelsea v Manchester City - Premier League
Kante and Christensen have stabilised Chelsea's defence

With David Luiz in the line-up, there will always be chances for the opponents to make the most out of. The Brazilian could either have a great game and not allow the opposition to breach his defence or he could have a mare and be the biggest enemy of his own team.

Antonio Conte, though, doesn’t like this sort of inconsistency and has, hence, decided to bin the former Benfica man to the bench, subsequently adding Andreas Christensen to the line-up. As a result, the defence seems a bit more solid with the Dane at the centre of it.

Aided by the ever-reliable N’Golo Kante in midfield, the former Gladbach defender has helped stabilize the backline of his team. Gary Cahill has been on the decline for a while now, but Christensen has exuded calmness to such an extent that even the captain seems to be doing just fine alongside him.

Liverpool’s attack is one of the best in the league – if not the best – but Chelsea’s 3-man defence is among the hardest to break down. Expect Salah and co. to have a quiet game in this one.
