5 reasons why Manchester United should avoid re-signing Cristiano Ronaldo

One of the most marketable athletes, Ronaldo will expect a massive salary

Real are likely to demand a mammoth fee for their greatest ever Galatico, even at 33. A fee in excess of £80 million is likely.

At this stage, it makes no sense for the English giants to spend that money on a player who is past his prime. Further more, the 33-year-old is likely to demand exorbitant wages.

For a team that has the highest wage bill in the English league, adding several millions more could be suicidal. It will also disrupt the squad harmony and will ruffle the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba.

It is better if United spend this money on signing quality defenders and midfielders.
