5 tactical tweaks Manchester United should make to pose a strong challenge this season:

Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester United - Premier League
Luke Shaw can be a very handy player while going forward
Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester United - Premier League
Paul Pogba needs more off the ball support on the pitch

4. Off the ball movement:

The problem with United’s style of play right now is there isn’t much movement off the ball to drag defenders out of their position or to spoil the shape of the opposition. The opposition isn’t stretched much with United’s current style of play. Romelu Lukaku is involved in making runs off the defender’s shoulder but it becomes easy to track him after a certain period. When you have a player like Paul Pogba in your ranks, who can supply brilliantly deep from the midfield, you need to make runs to make it count. What France did in the 2018 World Cup is exactly what United need to do with their attackers. Pogba was the feeder from the midfield, with the attackers making runs time and again. Also, it becomes too easy to defend when the attacking shape is a constant which is what is happening with United right now. To add a new dimension to their attack, United will have to encourage more movement without the ball especially in the final third.
