We all know Eden Hazard as the flashy dribbler who leaves defenders for dead and scores some stunning goals. He is one of the few players who can truly be regarded as "world class".

Due to his popularity and fan following, most of Hazard's life is public knowledge. For example, we know that he has two Premier League titles to his name as of 2019. We are aware of the fact that he plays for Chelsea and captained Belgium to the semi-final in the 2018 World Cup. We also know that he has a brother who plays football (Thorgan Hazard).

However, in this article, we shall look at five things you probably didn't know about Hazard.

As this Telegraph article shows, Hazard is a part owner of NASL team in San Diego. Hazard has bought shares in this club along with Demba Ba, Yohan Cabaye and Moussa Sow.

The club was to be launched in 2018 but that got delayed, and it is now expected to be launched in 2019.

2. Hazard is very efficient in front of goal

Hazard is often criticized for being too unselfish in front of goal. To added to that, he is considered to be an average finisher.

Still, over his 7 years in the Premier League (2012-2019), Hazard has missed only 35 big chances. In comparison, Mohamed Salah, who has been in the Premier League for only two seasons, has missed 39 big chances already.

3. Hazard follows the NBA

Hazard is a big NBA fan. He has been spotted at NBA London, and once in an interview, stated that New York Knicks was his favorite team. His favorite player is Carmelo Anthony.

Hazard also once made an Instagram post urging people to vote for the NBA all Stars Weekend for 2019. His all-star team comprised of -

LeBron James, Clint Capela, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, James Harden, Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving and Victor Oladipo.

That was pretty accurate as Eden got 9/10 players right.

4. His parents played football too

Eden's father and mother both played professional football. His mother eventually stopped playing when she was pregnant with him.

Furthermore, Eden has three siblings who also play football at different levels. The one known to most people is Thorgan Hazard, who plays for Borussia Mönchengladbach.

5. Eden married his childhood sweetheart

Hazard married his childhood sweetheart Natacha Van Honacker in 2012. They met when they were 14 and have been together ever since.

The couple have three children who go by the names of Yannis, Samy and Leo.

Compared to other footballers, Hazard lives a private life.
