#4 Ethan Ampadu

Ethan Ampadu is arguably one of the greatest talents to come out Wales since Gareth Bale.

The 18-year-old defender started his career at Exeter City and came through their ranks before joining the Blues in 2017. At Exeter, Ampadu became the youngest ever player in the history for Grecians after making his debut at the age of 15.

Ethan Ampadu made his Chelsea debut at the age of 17 years and 6 days and has so far made 12 appearances for the Blues across all competitions. The teenager has also featured for Ryan Giggs Welsh side, making 8 appearances so far for Wales.

With Gary Cahill leaving the club after the end of his contract, Ethan Ampadu is earmarked to be the successor to the former Chelsea captain.

The midfielder who is yet to make an appearance for the Blues spent his first year as a professional in the Dutch professional league with Vitesse before joining Derby on loan last year.

Mason Mount made 44 appearances, scoring 11 goals and making 5 assists for the Rams last season and was the star man in midfield for Frank Lampard.

Unlike Ethan Ampadu and Reece James, Mason Mount has a tougher task ahead of him getting into a talent-packed Chelsea midfield which has the likes of N'Golo Kante, Matteo Kovacic, Jorginho, Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek ahead of him in the pecking order.
