Manchester United v West Bromwich Albion - Premier League
Technically, the Frenchman is both a Sir Alex as well as a Mourinho signing and he had already stirred up a huge controversy when he was just a teenager. The Premier League giants had been embroiled in a huge battle with French side Le Harve, who claimed to have him under contract. FIFA had to intervene to clear Manchester United of any wrongdoing when they signed a young Paul Pogba. Sir Alex himself had openly defended his club during the tussle.

However, Pogba would go on to join Juventus after failing to break into the team in his three seasons at Old Trafford. He returned after Mourinho took over, becoming the costliest footballer in the world at that moment, costing United a then-world record £89m!
Since then, the Frenchman had endured a mixed life at United under the Portuguese. He had looked world class at times, while appearing average on other occasions and had not fully justified his price tag
But post Solskjaer's arrival, Pogba has been massive for United and has been one of their best players in the last month, if not the best in the division. Whether Sir Alex deserves credit for all that might be debatable, but it was the Legendary Scot who brought him to Old Trafford in the first place.

Deepungsu holds a PG degree in Microbiology and an MBA degree in Total Quality Management. He has an extensive two-decade long writing experience, which includes a decade of sports blogging. His writing prowess has even led his work getting cited on the legendary Franz Beckenbauer's Wikipedia page.
Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
