Real Madrid don't fancy Scolari for next season.

Real Madrid are the most successful club in world football with 33 La Liga titles and 13 Champions League crowns to their name. Currently, they are fighting in all three competitions, though their chances of winning each of them are slim.

The departure of Zinedine Zidane left a big hole at the Santiago Bernabeu, while Juan Lopetugi was bought in to fill his shoes. The Spaniard failed to implement his style of football as a result of which he was sacked in October and replaced by Santiago Scolari.

The interim manager Santiago Scolari despite some setbacks has so far managed to steady the ship for Real Madrid. Many expected that he might have a similar impact like Zidane, but so far it does not seems to be the case.

It is believed that, the Los Blancos hierarchy does not view as a manager for the long term and here are 7 managers they could consider instead:

#7 Jose Mourinho

Jose Mourinho still holds the record of most points in a single La Liga season.
Jose Mourinho still holds the record of most points in a single La Liga season.

Jose Mourinho is one of the most decorated managers in world football. The Portuguese has managed biggest clubs in world football such as Inter Milan, Chelsea, and Manchester United. Currently, he is unemployed after being sacked by the Red Devils in December last year.

The former Chelsea manager also was in charge of Real Madrid between 2010 to 2013, where he ended FC Barcelona's supremacy in La Liga and still holds the record of most points in a single La Liga season.

The Los Blancos are going through a transitional phase where key players such as Luka Modric, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, and Karim Benzema are all in their 30's. They need a manager who can guarantee them trophies while they build their team during that time. Also, he is currently unemployed which means he should be easily available.

It is believed that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is still a big fan of Jose and wants to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu for next season.

#6 Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte knows how to win league titles.
Antonio Conte knows how to win league titles.

Antonio Conte is an Italian manager who last managed Chelsea and helped them win the Premier League in his first season in charge, and the FA Cup the following year. He has previously managed Juventus as well where he won three consecutive Serie A trophies.

The Italian is a serial winner and he is known for winning league titles. His Juventus team still holds the record points won in Serie A in a single season.

Despite winning the Champions League three times in a row, the Los Blancos have been unable to replicate the same form in the La Liga. They are the most successful club in Spain, but they find it difficult to impose themselves domestically. But, in Conte, they can have a manager who knows how to win league titles and perform consistently.

The former Chelsea manager was linked with Real Madrid when Zinedine Zidane left, while he was also linked with the club when Juan Lopetuigi was sacked by the club. If things don't go well he is definitely an option Florentino Perez should consider. Also, he is currently unemployed which makes him an attractive option.

#5 Arsene Wenger

The Frenchman is one of the most revered figures in the football world. The former Monaco manager is known for playing beautiful attacking football and at the same time, he manages to develop young and unpolished talents into world class players.

He has won 3 Premier League titles and 7 FA Cups, despite Arsenal's financial restraints. The former Arsenal manager is undoubtedly one of the best managers in world football and his record speaks for that.

Real Madrid are in a phase of transition and they need an experienced manager. In Arsene Wenger, they will have a manager who has experience and he can play exciting football as well. Also, he will be able to develop young players such as Vinicius Jr., Mariano Diaz, Alvaro Odriozola, and Sergio Reguilon into world class players.

Like Mourinho and Conte, the former Arsenal manager is without any work and given his track record he can command respect from the Madrid players, which will help him to control the dressing room as well.

#4 Joachim Löw

Joachim Low would like to manage Real Madrid in the future.
Joachim Low would like to manage Real Madrid in the future.

Joachim Löw is currently the manager of the German national football team. His record with Germany has been excellent with at least a semi-final appearance in all competitions he has managed, expect World Cup 2018. He also won the World Cup with Germany in 2014 and the Confederations Cup in 2017 as well.

Every time there is a managerial change at the Bernabeu, Low's name is always linked to Real Madrid. He also added fuel to the fire in 2018 when he said that the Madrid job interests every manager.

Bringing in someone like him would be a risk but the last time the Los Blancos took such a risk they managed to win three consecutive Champions League and a La Liga as well. But considering how well he has done with the Die Mannschaft it seems like it is a calculated risk worth taking.

Low's record with young players and his new ideas in club football they could just be the ideal match for the Los Blancos. Given how Germany were knocked out of the World Cup in Russia and failure to reach the semifinals of the Nation's League could mean that an exit as the Germany national team boss may be near for him.

#3 Jurgen Klopp

Real Madrid could get serious about signing Jurgen Klopp next season.
Real Madrid could get serious about signing Jurgen Klopp next season.

The Liverpool manager is known for his humbleness, charisma and heavy metal football. He has been described as a manager who is a dream to play for by many players. The German prefers to play exciting attacking football and is also capable of switching tactics as well.

This season he has managed to challenge Pep Guardiola's mighty Manchester City and he is seen as the man who will finally win the title for Liverpool. He also broke Bayern's domestic dominance in the Bundesliga as, under him, Borussia Dortmund managed to win back to back Bundesliga titles.

If reports are believed to be true then if this season Liverpool do well in the Champions League and win the Premier League, then Real Madrid would genuinely consider bringing him to Santiago Bernabeu next season.

Klopp always in his career had to build a team from scratch and young players, but at Madrid, he will have a team of superstars where he can easily implement his ideas and win trophies.

#2 Massimiliano Allegri

Club Atletico de Madrid v Juventus - UEFA Champions League Round of 16: First Leg

The Italian is currently the manager of Juventus, where he has won four Serie A's consecutively and three Copa Italia's as well. Since Allegri's arrival in Turin, no team has managed to win anything in Italy.

He was also close to winning the Champions League with Juventus but the likes of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid have prevented him from doing so. His record with AC Milan was also fantastic.

Allegri is a great tactician and under him, the Los Blancos will have a manager who knows how to win trophies as well. According to reports, Allegri has already decided to leave Allianz Stadium next season and Madrid could be his next destination.

The Old Lady want to win the treble and they signed Cristiano Ronaldo for it. But they have been knocked out of the Copa Italia and a 2-0 defeat away to Atletico Madrid means that chances of progressing in the Champions League are slim for Juve.

#1 Mauricio Pochettino

Pochettino is Real Madrid's No.1 choice.
Pochettino is Real Madrid's No.1 choice.

The Argentine has built a great reputation for himself due to the work he's done at Tottenham Hotspur. He has managed to build a great squad with a net spend of only €29 million and at the same time, he has convinced top players like Harry Kane and Dele Alli to stay at Spurs as well.

The former Southampton manager has also managed to take Spurs from a struggling club to a club who has constantly challenged for trophies and at the same time developing young players and play good attacking football.

Even when Zidane left the club in the summer, he was the No.1 choice and next season as well he will be the No.1 choice for the Los Blancos. Though Tottenham are tough negotiators, it's worth noting that when Florentino Perez wants to buy someone, he usually gets his man.

Despite Pochettino's excellent work with Tottenham, the Lillywhites have failed to win anything and always falter on the last line.
