I hated you. To make it clear I completely despised you from the bottom of my heart. You always had those moments at Liverpool where you had a chain of bad performances and then suddenly as if by some godly miracle you always found your best form against Chelsea. It was completely disappointing when you did your trademark celebration (similar to Usain Bolt’s) for the Kop and especially at the far end at the Bridge. From Athletico, you came in as a shy Spaniard and soon turned out to be one of the best strikers the English Premier League had seen with important goals both in Europe and England. I can’t even imagine the condition Liverpool would have been in without you and if it was today, without Luis Suarez. I remember your little squabbles with John Terry and seeing you today not many would believe anything like that had ever happened. I literally jumped up and did a samba all over my bedroom when I woke up one fine morning to find out you had transferred to us in the last hour.
You know you’re not at your best but you wonder why the fans still support you. To be honest, it’s because you give your all and try more than your best. There’s a level to how much one can try to do their best, you have pretty much surpassed it and still give your all to Chelsea. Liverpool fans are going to hate, they are like that. They will never appreciate how much you did for them and don’t know the exact reason on why you left and were all ready to call you Judas. Chelsea also have a history of players leaving like Duff, Gudjhonsen, Ballack and Joe Cole. Michael Ballack got a warm reception for all that he had done for us and thats something Liverpool will not do. It’s time for you to move on , which I’m sure you have done and be loved by some of the greatest fans out there. I know there are plastic fans out there, but The Shed End, Gate 17, Blue Army, the El Nino Army and some thousands of select Asians believe in you to bring the best for us. You’ve given us enough reasons to be proud of and we have got the stick from other fans but we’ve always had the last laugh. You scored against Barcelona! You are a European Champion and never forget that. You’ll find there’s a long and fruitful road to lead if your blood is blue. Get in there!
